The 2007 Mipcom attracted its best overall attendance since the audiovisual market was formed, while also setting a raft of other records.
A total of 13,371 participants attended the show, an increase of seven per cent on the 12,509 figure from 2006. Some 4,585 companies from 105 countries took part, compared with 4,216 companies from 98 companies in 2006, an increase of nine per cent. The number of exhibiting firms also rose by ten per cent to 1,801.
During the 2008 event there will be a closer look at the Spanish market, while Philippe Dauman (president and CEO at Viacom) and Michael Eisner (former CEO of The Walt Disney Company and founder of The Tornante Company) have already been confirmed as keynote speakers.
