Virtual Worlds Conference and Expo returns for a second year...

Venture capital and media firms invested more than $184m in 23 virtual worlds related companies during the first quarter of 2008, according to Virtual Worlds Management's research.

Addition research found that there are now more than 100 virtual worlds operating, or in development, that have a focus on the 18 and under youth market.

Virtual Worlds Expo includes four dedicated conferences: Virtual Worlds Hollywood, Enterprise Virtual Worlds, Virtual Worlds Kids and the Future of Virtual Worlds. The event provides extensive best practice discussions on the application of virtual worlds for consumer, corporate, educational and training solutions. The Exhibition Hall showcases the latest tools, technologies, products and services from all the leading vendors.

This year's keynote address will be delivered by Hollywood producer Jon Landau.
