TAYMAI stands for Tell All Your Mates About It and specialises in converting character properties into online fan communities and commercial success stories.

The company (stand 244) offers a wide range of services including the development of microsites, online gaming, viral marketing campaigns and flash and 3D animations. It will soon launch an IPTV service.

Comic+ is the first of many online viral tools developed by Taymai and will be on show on the company’s stand at BLE 2008.

The new tool enables owners of new and existing characters to build fan bases using the internet. The comic is a free, online page-turning comic, which targets children aged eight to 14 years.

Featuring a mixture of old and new media, including 2D hand drawn comic strips, videos and online casual gaming, Comic+ ensures there is something to appeal to a range of kids within the pages.

Future issues of the magazine will feature established characters such as Roobarb and Custard and many new characters, as can be seen with The Screamers on the front page of the first issue.

Licensing agents and character owners can benefit from Taymai’s services by building awareness of their brands and selling merchandise direct to consumers. The service can also be used for merchandise offers, including competitions and ecommerce to target consumers.

Steve Manley, VPT (Vital Part of Taymai), says: “We are all very excited about the launch of Taymai Comic+. Having tested the first edition with school children, the results confirmed what we have always believed that kids are very open to finding their entertainment online.”

The owner of every character featured can offer merchandise through an online print-on-demand store, with no stock risk.

The comic is online and available at www.taymai.com/comic and a promotional video on YouTube features its catchy theme tune.
