The colourful and imaginative world of his characters, Percy and his Friends, will be showcased for the first time in Europe at Brand Licensing Europe 2008.

The characters feature bird-like heads, including budgies and pelicans with human bodies dressed in quirky suits, surrounded with brightly coloured flowers and butterflies.

The images are tailor-made for the publishing, product, stationery and decorative markets, with the potential for longer-term development.

Visitors to David Severn's stand will find a bold display of colourful and inventive images and a creative use of the three-dimensional space, with free-standing cut-outs - a picnic on the floor, tea-time on the table - butterflies on the wing and other innovative details.

The unique images in this new property will appeal to all ages, particularly the young-adult market, with whom it has been successful in Japan and Korea.

Severn is using BLE as a platform to showcase his artwork in the UK. He hopes to meet new licensees and get ideas from the show for new ways to promote his work in future.

Severn exhibited at Surtex in May this year and aims to return in 2009.
