Description

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Category Manager or Key Account Manager looking for the next challenge in their career. This broad role involves overseeing, strategically managing and developing the Toys & Games category in our UK Consumer Products team.

About the role

Working closely with the UK’s General Manager and EMEA Category Director, you will be responsible for managing existing Toys & Games partners as well as developing new retail partners and sectors and identifying strategic alliances.

Main responsibilities include:

·    Managing existing Toys & Games partners - both global/ regional Key Accounts and local partners
·    Identifying new strategic partners
·    Targeting specific retailing partners and retail sectors
·    Selecting distribution and toys partners to bring on-board chosen retailers/retail sectors
·    Managing a Licensing Executive
·    Developing local tailored presentations
·    Conducting sales presentations to selected retailing, distribution and toy partners
·    Negotiating contracts
·    Regular liaison with the US Global Toy team to ensure strategies are aligned
·    Working with toys and games licensees in order to ensure that product development is consistent with each property’s brand objectives and meet retailer, consumer and BA requirements
·    Maximising cross-promotional, trade PR/media efforts and presentations to retailers
·    Carry out regular line reviews
·    Establish, maintain and develop relationships with buyers with key retailers
·    Co-ordinate opportunities across the business
·    Monitor competitor activity
·    Monitor local market developments for each area of business to ensure that programmes launched address local market requirements.

About you

With a strong sales planning background, your will have worked in Key Account Sales, retail or new product development.  A clear understanding of buying and product development is essential, ideally with experience of how character and licensing works in retail.

A credible communicator, you will be able to influence people at all levels, be a strong Time Manager and organiser with proven strategic planning skills and a strong understanding of marketing. A team player, you will be highly computer literate, bring energy and passion to the role and be able to cope with the fast –paced change of the industry.
