ROLE/PURPOSE:             This senior position is responsible for building Classic Media’s Consumer Products business across Licensing, Promotions and Live Events in the ROW (x-North America and the UK) for the Company’s portfolio of properties including Postman Pat, Where’s Wally?, Noddy and Casper the Friendly Ghost

 

REPORTS TO:       EVP, Global Marketing & Consumer Products

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

·          Develop and update annual business plan for ROW CP which clearly establishes priorities and the roadmap for growth, including strategies by Territory, as well as identifying Pan-Regional and Promotional opportunities

•       Manage the ROW CP (across Licensing, Live Events and Promotions) P&L, including

forecasting, risk management and investment strategies, to deliver gross and net contribution on/ahead of budget

·           Strategically oversee ROW Agents globally – work with Agents and Licensing team to develop annual property plans by Territory and Pan-Regionally to drive property growth, conduct quarterly re-forecasts, identify opportunities; strategically evaluate Agency relationships on an ongoing basis

·           Create and implement processes and efficiencies across the business – from Agent toolkits to reporting to forecasting templates and from tracking key partners’ business to Licensee communications to Product Development – as well as CP best practices in conjunction with North America team

·           Manage all contracts whether generated directly or via Agents for the ROW; maintain best-in-class templates for Licensee and Agent contracts

•       Forge and maintain strong relationships with key Agents, Licensees, Retailers, and other partners

·           Work collaboratively with other LOBs (TV Distribution, Home Video and Digital), the North America CP team, and Marketing, Production, Finance and Business Affairs

•    Prepare International CP forecasts for ROIs on potential productions/co-productions and program acquisitions

•       Be the face of Classic Media International CP; take an active role in the industry/industry events

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

•       A track record as a builder of CP businesses; cross-category experience

•       Proven ability to build accurate forecasts and deliver on/ahead of budget, as well as creative excellence to drive product development

•       Experience in overseeing the management of Agents and/or working internationally

•       Solid industry reputation and established base of relevant contacts; up-to-date on the market and key trends

•       Demonstrates strong leadership, management and executive presence

•       An entrepreneurial individual with a hands-on, positive attitude, and collaborative approach

•       A big picture thinker who also shows attention to detail, especially with regards to budget tracking and contract review

•       Travel to International trade shows, as well as to key Territories

•       An understanding of and some experience with the Marketing process in an international environment

•       Previous experience of managing people

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

•       Computer proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint

•       Experience in media and children’s industry

•       Fluency in a language(s) would be an advantage
