FLUID WORLD VACANCY – WITHOUT PREJUDICE
We are now looking for a Product Development Manager to work across all of the brands we
represent. You will be skilled in design and product development, have a strong eye for detail, have
commercial acumen and be passionate about working with brands. You will have experience working for a licensor, agent or licensee and have practical understanding of the licensing, retail and
manufacturing industries. Specific experience in hard lines preferred but not essential.
Reporting into the Senior Product Development Manager you will work with our licensors, licensees & retailers on creative strategy and product development across a variety of categories including research and development, branding, range plans, product design, packaging design and approvals.
You will also work with the Senior Product Development Manager to develop style guides and brand guidelines as necessary. You will potentially be managing global sub-agents and the creative strategy of various territories.
Proficiency in Adobe Create Suite preferred and in Microsoft Office programs essential.

Commencement Date: TBA
Working Hours: 9.00am-5.30pm Mondays- Fridays and such additional hours as are necessary
Pay Structure: Up to £33,000 per annum (payable by equal monthly installments in the last week of each month) dependent on experience

Description of role:
- Manage product development and approvals across licensees within your categories
- Work with the commercial team on brand positioning, product range and style direction and
communicate effectively to all licensees
- Work with the Senior Product Development Manager on research and development
- Work with and coordinate creative strategy with global brand partners
- Manage a variety of art and approval systems
- Provide mentoring and support to the Assistant Product Development Manager and Coordinator
- Provide day-to-day creative support to licensees
- With the Senior Product Development Manager, plan the implementation of style guides and
communicate effectively to all licensees
- Manage approval systems for your categories and brands
- Ensure smooth running and timely execution of licensor online approval processes
- Attend regular development meetings with licensors to ensure creative strategy is line with
their local and global strategy
- Attend regular development meetings with licensees to present creative strategy, plan
ranges, understand production methods/limitations and address any issues and needs
- Work closely with commercial team to ensure all licensed articles go into development in line
with contractual obligations
- Ensure approvals correspondence and imagery is logically stored and accessible to the rest
of the Licensing team.
- Provide creative support to the commercial teams as required.
- Manage samples and benchmarks spend
- All other duties as necessary

Up to £36,000 per annum (payable by equal monthly instalments in the last working day of each month) dependent on experience

Key Roles & Responsibilities:
You will report into the Senior Brand Manager
You will be responsible for new business development across the portfolio as well as managing licensees and partnerships. On a day to day basis you will be required to research and contact potential new licensees, lead meetings and present Brand updates, negotiate commercial terms, implement contracts, forecasting and general administration.
You will be required to manage day to day retail relationships including holding regular meetings with key retailers& responding to retail requests. You will also work (with the Product Development Manager) on design direction and branding (where necessary) and communicate & implement this across licensees. You will work with retailers on brand execution in store as well as licensees to coordinate in store launches and cross-category fixtures. We are a small team and as such you may be required to work across other areas of the business as and when necessary.
