The Senior Licensing Manager will be interface between Zodiak Rights and retail and plays a key role in delivering revenue for the Zodiak Rights property portfolio.
Zodiak Rights represents a wide portfolio of wholly owned & 3rd party, kids & brand titles namely Tickety Toc, Waybuloo, Mister Maker, Little Princess, Simon’s Cat & Mr Bean. With the International launch of Tickety Toc CP in autumn 2013 and with an expanding international focus for the business, this role will be central to driving the next phase of our business.
Responsibilities include:
- Working with the CP team to deliver against an agreed annual CP budget
- Maximising exposure for the Zodiak brands at retail
- Working with the Brand marketing team to deliver local market retail strategy for all properties
- Working with the International agents and licensees to develop retail plans
- Together with the sales and Brand marketing team, developing overall and local CP rollout plans, focusing on category launch timings, retailer support and delivering coordinated programs
- Manage retailer relationships
- Create new contacts at retail
- Presenting and representing Zodiak brands to retail and with licensees when required
- Advise the licensing team where we have gaps in the licensing program
- Together with Brand Marketing ensure the properties are supported with retail activities and their profile remains high
- Working with sales team to deliver quarterly reforecasting of numbers and ensuring we have the retail support to deliver these numbers
ROLE-SPECIFIC SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES
- Proven licensing sales experience in a managerial capacity ideally with international experience
- Used to negotiating and achieving sales targets/business objectives
- Proactive, self-motivated
- Strong interpersonal skills; team player
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent oral and written communication skills including strong presentation skills
- Able to prioritise workload with the ability to multi-task
- Able to travel & attend major trade shows and retail meetings
- Able to take information from different sources and relay it across various territories and at different levels within the organisation
- Demonstrates diplomacy, maintains positive relationships with tact and efficiency along with a good sense of humour
- Ideally a second language a benefit (French/Spanish/German)
- Ability to work well within different computer programs and formats, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
