This role will focus on supporting the Global Brand Manager across general division and global brand activities including: creative development, brand planning, marketing, approvals, and general marketing administration.

In addition the role will also focus on developing and executing brand marketing initiatives for assigned brands in the UK market, ensuring that consumer activity and communications are co-ordinated to a high standard.


  • Work closely with Global Brand Managers to plan and develop co-ordinated communications strategy across multiple platforms for assigned brands notably PJ Masks.
  • Maintain and update marketing calendars and co-ordinate activity to tie in with brand activity, broadcast promotions and licensee activity as directed
  • Brief, create and disseminate brand and marketing assets and materials for all channels as required
  • Approve third party marketing materials and ensure that all materials adhere to the brand templates and standards set out by Global Brand Manager
  • Communicate digital and social media messaging and guidelines, monitor and approve monthly calendars,  as well as implement social media strategies in conjunction with Global Brand Manager
  • Participate in creative brainstorming sessions, assisting with planning, developing concepts, creating marketing materials and executing campaigns
  • Develop and co-ordinate asset packs for UK partners, broadcasters, licensees and make available for international teams
  • Communicate, implement and manage consumer brand campaigns as directed by Global Brand Manager
  • Book and manage consumer advertising as required
  • Work with licensing teams to ensure retail, product, licensing and marketing initiatives are co-ordinated and that the brand is effectively maximised at key times
  • Work with PR agents to maximise brand exposure
  • Work closely with digital and creative agencies, internal digital teams and be the day to day liaison
  • Work closely with the brands charity partnerships, helping to identify and manage annual brand initiatives and events
  • Work closely with the character costume licensee on relevant consumer marketing campaigns
  • Prepare reports and analyse results, interpreting trends to provide insights and recommendations for future campaigns across categories
  • Undertake competitive marketing research regularly and work closely with research team to present findings to the wider teams
  • Communicate regularly to the wider team on brand plans, creative updates and marketing initiatives, sharing and championing best practise
  • Work closely with International Marketing team to ensure up to date communication across all levels of brand activity, encouraging synergy across territories where possible
  • Assist Global Brand Manager with the creative development and approval of DVD sleeves and promotional inners making available for international territories as required
  • Research market activity and identify new opportunities as directed by Global Brand Manager

  • Manage brand competitions and disseminate prizing as required
  • Assist with budget process by processing PO’s, invoices logging, tracking and managing to a budget as required.
  • Manage day to day marketing enquiries including image requests for marketing partners, marketing information requests. Customer enquiries, feedback and complaints.
  • Organise team meetings to discuss activations, campaigns and brand direction as required.
  • Assist in the preparation of licensee days as required

Skills and Experience

  • At least two year’s marketing experience within a busy marketing team essential
  • Excellent administrative skills and knowledge of computer packages, Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook.
  • Adobe Photoshop experience ideal but not essential
  • Understanding of digital platforms including CMS and social channels preferable
  • Ability to communicate well and get things done in a pro-active manner.
  • Strong project manager, with ability to juggle several priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Resourceful with the ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to stay ‘cool’ when the pressure is on.
  • Excellent presentation skills
