A newly created position to join the Commercial team at Acamar Films and significantly grow the retail presence in the UK and internationally - with UK as the primary focus - of the Emmy and Writer’s Guild Award winning and BAFTA nominated pre-school property BING

Reporting to the Head of Global Licensing, the Senior Retail Manager will be responsible for securing listings and delivering programmes that meet and exceed the annual financial goals set for the commercial division in conjunction with our network of local agents.

Must have previous retail experience either principal/licensing agency, licensee or retailer.


  • Develop yearly retail strategies across the business that translate into specific objectives and action plans ("road map") - per key priority retail account
  • Increase retail presence of BING licensed products at key UK and international retailers – the UK being the primary focus – and deliver innovative solutions
  • The role will work closely with the cross functional lead team and international licensing agents
  • Agree key priority retailer accounts and to build long term relationships with buyers and retail executives
  • Maximise opportunities and deliver retail sales to support products in store and create launch events
  • Proactively explore and exploit new retail opportunities for the growth of BING across multiple channels of distribution
  • Analyse current and competitive retail landscape to define strategies and opportunities and provide relevant case studies and learnings
  • Identify, recommend and execute direct-to-retail business model where and when appropriate
  • Set annual retail budget and KPIs, and deliver agreed revenues and manage quarterly forecasting projects
  • Update senior management weekly on plans, programs and status of all initiatives
  • Act as an ambassador for Acamar Films at all times and conduct oneself with integrity, dignity and openness


  • Proven understanding of brand licensing strategy, consumer products and mass retail structure as well as strong retail relationships from buyer to General Manager level and ability to continue to build and strengthen retail relationships
  • A demonstrable record of success at retail with an established network of retail contacts
  • A self starter with strong analytical and strategic skills, combined with an ability to “roll sleeves up” and do whatever it takes to make things happen
  • Exceptional communication skills, both orally and written, with true presence in front of internal and external customers, and the ability to present recommendations and state of the business to senior level management
  • A strong, collaborative and flexible team player, able to blend into a small team and be effective
  • Highly organised and disciplined, with a keen attention to detail, whilst being pro active in new ideas and project generation.

  • Well versed in presentation and analytical software (Excel) with the ability to create presentations with PowerPoint, Keynote including the use of Adobe/Photoshop visual skills 
  • Keen sense of humour
