BBC Worldwide awards UK rights to firm; products to launch in autumn/winter 2013.
BBC Worldwide has appointed Golden Bear as the UK master toy licensee for pre-school hit In The Night Garden.
The firm will now develop a line of products for launch in autumn/winter 2013. The master toy and nursery licence will include all plush and plastic toys, play-sets, figures, developmental toys, vehicles and role-play.
"In The Night Garden will be the perfect addition to our portfolio and we at Golden Bear have thoroughly enjoyed working with Ragdoll in developing this toy collection," said Barry Hughes, commercial director at Golden Bear.
"The show continues to be popular with young children and we believe that our new toys and accessories will be equally admired by the fans, whilst proving highly successful for our retail partners."
Richard Hollis, head of UK licensing for BBC Worldwide, added: "Golden Bear toys are renowned for being able to capture the true essence of properties that are aimed at younger children. In The Night Garden lends itself perfectly to the careful merchandising that Golden Bear can offer, and we are delighted with the initial collection that is to go on sale in autumn 2013."
