Jetix hires new original series director

Former Cartoon Network man takes up newly created position.
Jetix Europe has appointed Daniel Wineman to the newly created role of director of original series and co-productions.
Wineman will be in charge of all creative aspects of the firm's original series and co-productions, ensuring that Jetix's vision and brand consistency are carried throughout the development and production process.
He joins the company from Cartoon Network and Boomerang in the US, where he spent ten years working across programming and scheduling.
Wineman's most recent role was at Cartoon Network as director of acquisitions and co-productions.
"We are delighted that Daniel has chosen to join the Jetix team," said Marc Buhaj, SVP of programming at Jetix Europe. "His creative skills and expertise in the kids' television industry bring a lot to the group in Europe. Daniel is extremely well respected by his peers across the globe."
