Advanstar appoints account manager as it looks to grow event by 30 per cent this year.
Jennifer Offenborn has joined Advanstar as account manager for Brand Licensing Europe, as the firm looks to forge ahead with its plans to significantly grow the event this year and beyond.
Offenborn - who speaks fluent German - will work closely with senior sales executive Licia Viscito who was recruited last March to spearhead Advanstar's drive into Europe after the event's rebrand to Brand Licensing Europe.
"We're delighted to have Jennifer on board - she will play a critical role in our ambitions to grow Brand Licensing Europe by 30 per cent in 2008 and will assist us in solidifying the event's unchallenged position at the heart of the European licensed consumer products business," said Advanstar MD Helen Gardner.
The number of international visitors to BLE last year rose by 26 per cent, accounting for 23 per cent of the visitor audience.
Overall, visitor numbers rose by eight per cent to a record 4,301.
