Eight more channels acquire TV rights to BKN's Zorro: Generation Z property.

The broadcasting and licensing drive for Zorro: Generation Z is continuing apace, with more partners acquiring TV rights for the BKN property.

Telecinco and Clan TV/TVE in Spain, POP Channel in the UK, ATV in Hong Kong, Star TV in Greece, SABC in South Africa, Solimac in Malaysia and TV7 in Bulgaria, have all signed up for the animated series, which is aimed at six to 12 year-olds.

These will join MBC and Falcon Films in UAE and the Middle East, Foxtel in Australia, Record TV in Brasil, Mediaset in Italy, Telemundo in US, CTC in Russia, TMC in Turkey and Faimead in Africa.

BKN has already appointed Gulliver for master toy distribution and has hired a number of licensing agents, including Black and White in Greece, ITC in Brasil and Kidz Entertainment in Russia/Eastern Europe.

More are due to be revealed at Licensing International in June.

The firm handles licensing in-house at its London and Barcelona offices. A number of licensees are already signed up - Scalextric for racing cars in Spain, Gim for back to school in Greece and KG Line for back to school in Brasil - and is looking to appoint toy distributors in each country. They will be able to acquire the product from Gulliver FOB China.
