This is the 2nd dumbest idea idea (the first was making a US cast) the Australian Hi-5 is perfect so leave it alone.

I dont think it'll be a great idea since US people have learned to love the aussie cast last so many years.. & now a sudden change!

Anyway.. I hope the cast is good.. & they dont have same end as UK cast :(

This is just so unfair for the people of the UK who have come to love the Aussie Hi-5 group. Now they suddenly dont get to see them anymore and have to adjust to a new group of people. I just dont see it working, just like the US cast.

This is a very sad indeed for all the fans.

First the Australia, second the America, third the Spanish Cast and last is the UK cast?!?!?!?! It's so impossible.... I don't want to see the UK cast... They're like Australians :(

Its definitely not a good idea! An obvious example is the US cast, which did not work. People love the Aussie cast so why not let it be that way? What's the point of creating a new cast? Its just going to disappoint the UK fans if the Aussie cast does not tour the UK!

This is really wrong!
The UK fans will really hate this!
I even hate this!!!
Well at least they aren't making MORE new cast....I'm sooo disappointed....but it'll be quite cool to see another different cast doing the same song! But it's not right at all!! WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?!?!?!???!?!

I have mixed feelings about this announcement. While I think it is great to always explore new production franchising opportunities, I get the feeling that many of their British (and to a certain extent Irish) fans and viewers will be put off watching the show by the sight of a new bunch of practically unknown Hear'Say-wannabe types taking over and that the early Australian cast episodes may discontinue being shown on TV in Britain once their contract with Channel Five ends and Turner starts making this new local version for the UK.

I wish Turner would go ahead and just let Southern Star Entertainment start making some special additional "Hi-5 Extra" content featuring the Australian cast but aimed specifically at their British audiences. I like the idea of having one show for the whole global market hosted by the same original bunch of people. I know this probably will not happen.

Interesting how GMTV (which was once known as TV-AM under Bruce Gyngell and David Frost's co-management and still had Sir David's morning show on Sundays for a little while after the 1993 takeover) is also involved in this new local Hi-5 spin-off production. Plus ITV (which carries GMTV) is the number one rated free-to-air terrestrial network in the UK.

i'm am deeply shocked at this........ so unfair, what's the point of having new casts and new episodes ! i mean they're just going to show the episodes we've already seen from the aussie version, just with new people
i can't believe this, i am so outraged !!!!!
(five is not even showing series ten so far, i've been waiting for so long and they don't show it)
hi-5 australia must continue and be the onyl hi-5 i feel
