Imaginationís pocket money product hits milestone in H2 2012; new versions due this autumn.
Half a million Trivia Boxes have been sold worldwide since launching in the UK last August.
The themed boxes from Imagination, each of which contain over 400 multiple choice questions and high-speed gameplay, come in various licensed packs. These include Top Gear, The Simpsons, Match of the Day, Now That’s What I Call Music and The Deadly 60.
Imagination will introduce several new versions of Trivia Box this autumn and secure fresh licences, after initial sales “exceeded forecasts”.
The company says that the products were a success thanks to its ability to land licences and get product to market quickly.
Imagination sales manager Martin Stone told ToyNews: “We would like to thank all our customers and retail and licensing partners for their help in making the brand such a success.
“London Toy Fair went very well for us and as a result we have new retail partners coming onboard all the time. Spring 2013 sales continue to be strong at a time when games are often slow, showing that our accessible pricing and great value product means a lot to the consumer as well.”†
