Growing firm to handle campaigns for classic properties such as Rocky and Robocop as new UK and Ireland agent.

Rocket Licensing has inked a deal with MGM Consumer Products to represent the firm's consumer products campaigns in the UK and Republic of Ireland (excluding the Pink Panther brand).

The deal includes licensing campaigns for classic MGM films and franchises such as Rocky, Robocop, Fame, The Great Escape (which celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2009) and Westerns including The Good The Bad and The Ugly and The Magnificent Seven.

It also includes popular TV properties such as Stargate Atlantis.

"We are delighted to begin a working partnership with Rocket Licensing - they combine great relationships with retailers and licensees with a real flair for entertainment licensing," said Travis Rutherford, executive VP of MGM Consumer Products and Location Based Entertainment.
