Tanside to work on new Beano and Dandy gift line

Characters such as Bananaman, Desperate Dan, Minnie the Minx and Korky the Cat included in deal.
UK agency Start Licensing has revealed a deal with Tanside for a new collection of collectable and gift belt buckles.
The buckles will feature a variety of Beano and Dandy characters including Bananaman, Desperate Dan, Minnie the Minx and Korky the Cat.
Tanside will produce the buckles from pewter and they will have embossed character designs painted in full colour. Retail distribution will include Tanside's own website, and specialist website Fine and Dandy.
"The quality of this product range is tremendous," said Ian Downes, director of Start Licensing. "Tanside have produced a high spec product and respected the heritage of the characters. This is quite a specialist product area, but it is one that has a solid collector base and we know that The Beano and The Dandy have a rich heritage which appeals to collectors."
