National themed campaign launches to tie in with arrival of Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
Fast food giant Burger King is planning a major Indiana Jones themed campaign, which will include TV spots on network and cable channels.
From June 8th, ads will run on children's channels such as Nickelodeon and Disney, while adult spots will also be running on major network and cable stations during prime time.
The in-store themed promotion will include 'Reveal the Secret' scratch and win games, the 'Big Dig' online game, plus a series of Kids Meal toys.
Players have a one in two chance of winning each time they play the Reveal the Secret game, with prizes including $1 million, a 2008 Hummer H2, a trip for four to Peru from Expedia.com and free food items from Burger King.
Meanwhile, there will be eight adventure-themed Kids Meal toys based on key scenes from the four films, as well as a Kids Meal bag printed in invisible ink. Each bag is printed with Indy trivia and the answers can only be revealed using the invisible ink pen, one of the Kids Meal toys.
There will also be a special Indy Double Whopper, available for a limited time at $4.29, which provides an extra kick with spicy Cajun mayo and pepper jack cheese.
"The cross-generational appeal and cultural phenomenon of the Indiana Jones series make this one of the most coveted entertainment partnerships," said Brian Gies, VP/marketing impact at Burger King. "The sponsorship allows Burger King Corp to give our customers and fans of the movie the action and adventure they love."
