Start up animation studio ties with TV-Loonland for new kids comedy series, My Life Me.

Canadian producer CarpeDiem has opened the doors of its new studio, Animation Station, and has teamed up with TV-Loonland for its first kids comedy production.

The new premises are based in central Montreal and CarpeDiem has hired a dozen personnel to staff the studio, including manager Francois Vachon.

It will begin production of My Life Me, a 52x11-minute animated character driven comedy show for Teletoon Canada, France 2 and Canal J, and will also produce accompanying mobile and interactive components.

The series is a co-production between the studio and TV-Loonland, which will handle all international distribution rights in all media, including licensing and merchandising.

The focus of the show will be on central issues relevant to teen life, slipping into manga-inspired sequences as the characters responses to familiar adolescent situations blows out of proportion, with comic results.

"I'm confident that My Life Me is the first of many distinctive, original projects for Animation Station," said president of CarpeDiem, Marie-Claude Beauchamp.
