Next week's New York Licensing Show will see debut of Galleon's toy collection.

Galleon Holdings is to unveil the merchandise for its animated TV series Skunk Fu at next week's Licensing International expo in New York.

The US roll out comes on the heels of the show's launch on Cartoon Network US in May and its premiere on CW Television Network's top-rated Saturday morning Kids WB block last September.

Galleon has appointed IP rights representative The Sharpe Company as licensing agent for Skunk Fu in North America.

The toy line has been developed and made in-house by Croco Sourcing Worldwide, a wholly owned subsidiary of Galleon Holdings. In addition, Galleon is currently in talks with a DVD distribution partner for the US.

"This broadcast platform presents us with a significant opportunity to launch our toy line and the brand in the US market," said Stephen Green, CEO of Galloen Holdings. "Having a toy line ready for distribution allows us to respond quickly to this breakthrough. The Sharpe Company are specialists in their own field and we are very excited to be working with a partner of this calibre."

Skunk Fu is aimed at six to 12 year-olds and follows the adventures of a skunk accidentally dropped into China by a wayward stork as a youngster. The series has already been sold by TV distribution partner Cake Entertainment in over 100 territories including France, Germany, Italy, Australia, Ireland, Sweden, Belgium, Asia and Latin America amongst others.
