Imira reveals DISCOP slate

Firm heading to Budapest event with both established and brand new animation.
Spanish production and distribution firm Imira Entertainment will be heading over to DISCOP 2008 - the content market for business in Central and Eastern Europe - with a packed portfolio.
Headlining the slate is Tangerine and Cow (pictured), an animated comedy for children aged six to 12. The series has already been acquired for worldwide distribution, licensing and merchandising (except for French-speaking Europe, the Netherlands, Greece and Finland) from France's Normaal Animation.
Other series on the programming slate include third party acquisitions Go Go Pig and Rat-Man, as well as established properties Lola & Virginia and Vitaminix.
"DISCOP is an important event for us as our shows, particularly Lola & Virginia, have performed extremely well in Central and Eastern Europe," said Mar Gaya, international merchandising, publishing and DVD manager at Imira. "Following an excellent MIPTV, we're looking forward to presenting our new animation and anticipate further deals across our key titles."
