US: New Asia-Pacific exec for 4Kids

Dave Sharat joins as VP of marketing and licensing for the region.
4Kids Entertainment has named Dave Sharat as VP of marketing and licensing for Asia Pacific, based in Hong Kong.
According to World Screen, Sharat will manage the firm's licensing and marketing activities throughout the territory, including India, responsible for identifying and signing agents and partners in the retail and manufacturing categories.
He will also be involved in the regional TV activities, liaising between the 4Kids international sales team and broadcasters to develop partner programmes.
Sharat comes to the role from a stint as the head of marketing and corporate affairs for Asia-Pacific at Animation International. He has also previously worked at the Walt Disney Company as regional licensing manager.
"Dave brings a wealth of international experience in marketing and licensing, particularly with family friendly properties," said Roz Nowicki, executive VP of marketing and licensing at 4Kids Entertainment, "and we are thrilled to have him join the 4Kids team."
