FremantleMedia Enterprises is opening its doors to third party brands as it looks to extend its global business strategy.

The firm revealed in New York that it will represent the PBS hit animated series WordWorld, a new fashion property created by the designer of Hello Kitty, Rebecca Bonbon and brands from the CBS Consumer Products library in Australia.

These announcements apparently mark an aggressive push from FME to expand the business over the coming few years.

“FremantleMedia Enterprises is a great one stop shop for any entertainment property,” said David Ellender, CEO of FME. “Our structure creates an environment in which we can move fluidly from entertainment, distribution, production or licensing and other companies are taking notice of these mechanics and realizing how easily they can fit into our system.

“WordWorld and Rebecca Bonbon are both amazing properties in their own right, and what more can you say about the CBS library? We really feel that by bringing FME into the fold, there’s a lot we can do to develop licensing for all our partners.”

CBS’ TV brands include the likes of CSI, Next Top Model and classic brands like Mighty Mouse, Cheers and Happy Days. The firm will also handle the consumer products and promotional tie-ins for the next Star Trek movie.
