Purple Ronnie has scored two big hits with books aimed at Dads and Grandads.
Purple Ronnie’s Little Book for a Smashing Dad and Purple Ronnie’s Little Book for a Smashing Grandad are at number one and number two respectively in the Sunday Times chart in the week leading up to Father’s Day.
Publisher Pan Macmillan, and Coolabi, the company that owns and licenses Purple Ronnie, have been pushing both books hard, whilst making sure that High Street bookshops had plenty of stock in the key period.
Jane Woodward, head of licensing at Coolabi, commented: “Pan Macmillan has done a wonderful job promoting these titles and meeting even bigger than expected demand. And, of course, the success of these books is a reminder of the unique style and lasting popularity of Purple Ronnie himself.”
