Reports suggest that company is looking to offload firm behind Veggie Tales.

In a bid to reduce its debt of around £107 million, Entertainment Rights is considering selling Big Idea, the firm behind children's shows such as Veggie Tales.

Reports began in the Sunday papers, with Nick Phillips, the new chief executive of the business, apparently believing that selling some of the less profitable areas of the group will enable the company to reduce its debt considerably.

Big Idea became part of the Entertainment Rights stable via the acquisition of Classic Media in 2006.

The Veggie Tales series has sold around 52 million DVDs and videos in the US and has a good following.
