EigenArt inks Smiley deal

German card manufacturer, EigenArt, has launched the first lines of cards and confectionery based on the Smiley brand.
Smileyworld cards and confectionery and the Smiley Collection cards have been launched in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Luxemburg.
The products are based on the 1200 internet icons and the 1970s Smiley logo respectively, with the latter featuring 'trick of the eye' photography showing Smiley appearing in wildlife and landscape views.
The deal follows on from the brand's launch into high-end international retailers across Europe, as part of its new design-led initiative, through apparel, jewellery and fragrances.
