Show owner announces changes to management team.

GLM, the organiser of art and design trade show Surtex, has announced that Penny Sikalis will take on the role of show manager for the event, effective immediately.

Sikalis is a GLM VP with 14 years of trade show experience. She will be responsible for the day to day sales, marketing, management and operations of the annual trade shindig.

Sikalis will report directly to Phil Robinson, senior VP of GLM's Business to Retail division. Alessia Adler will continue to serve as sales representative for Surtex.

"Penny's involvement in Surtex since 1998 has resulted in a strong performing show for the surface design and licensing industries," said Robinson. "With more hands-on management, she is ideally suited to further enhance its performance and market experience for all."

Sikalis most recently served as VP/global business development and group show manager for the Global Home Textiles and Global Home Decor shows, which ran alongside the Gourmet Housewares Show in Las Vegas in 2008.
