Total revenue for fiscal 2008 hits $1.36 billion, with nearly half coming from home entertainment and DVD sales.

The Hollywood Reporter has said that Lionsgate has boosted its first quarter share of consumer spending, sales and rentals to a record $575 million, its best ever market share showing of nine per cent.

Company president Steve Beeks said that of Lionsgate's total revenue of $1.36 billion in fiscal 2008, nearly half ($623.5 million) came from home entertainment, mostly DVD sales.

That is an increase of almost $100m from fiscal 2007.
