FRANCE: New agency signed up for Panshel

PPM France hires RMP as French licensing partner for CGI animation.
Production & Partners Multimedia SAS (PPM France) has named RMP as the French licensing agency for CGI property Panshel (excluding book publishing and interactive video game rights).
Panshel consists of 52x11'30" episodes and is aimed at children aged five to seven years old. The character was created by Japanese character designer, Masaru Houri and is currently being broadcast in France on Piwi and Gulli.
Worldwide, PPM's distibutor - WAMC - has started to sell the series to broadcasters such as Disney Taiwan, Cartoon Network/Pogo India, RTP Portugal and KidMango USA.
It has also signed up a number of agents for TV and merchandising including Plus Licens for Scandinavia and Eastern Europe, Promo VIP for Spain and Dic 2 for Italy.
RMP will be developing a licensing and merchandising programme across France and French speaking territories. It is looking for toy, plush and accessories licensees.
The first books, activities books and school materials will be published in French in March 2009, while an online game is in pre-production and is due to launch in June 2009 in multiple languages.
