UK-based firm to develop new apparel range featuring imagery of iconic star.

Apparel manufacturer Blues Clothing has become the latest licensee to join the Marilyn Monroe programme.

The deal was revealed by Bradford Licensing Associates, the licensing agent for Shaw Family Archives, the family of photographers with a collection of over 400 photos of Marilyn Monroe.

The new three-year deal enables Blues to develop various clothing items featuring Marilyn Monroe imagery from the archives. Products such as t-shirts, tops, trousers, dresses and underwear will be available in the first quarter of 2009 throughout France, Dom Tom and Benelux.

"We are excited to have our brand join with such an accomplished apparel firm and look forward to the products hitting the French marketplace," said Michelle Miniseri, president of Bradford Licensing.

Josy Fouche-Guibon, Blues' licensing director in Europe, added that she thought the new partnership "will greatly strengthen Blues current offering of apparel for teens and young ladies throughout the French market."

So happy that the estate, MMLLC and CMG Worldwide have lost in the courts.
They extorted millions from unsuspecting companies and have collected fees on unsound legal grounds and fallacious information for years.
Hasty legislation was proposed recently again in New York, but was withdrawn.
