Arabia channel becomes the 50th local station in the network's global footprint.
Nickelodeon Arabia - launching today (July 23rd) on free to air networks, Arabset and Nilesat - has become the 50th local channel for the network.
The channel will reach a potential audience of 190 million viewers across the Middle East.
It will air original productions from launch to ensure relevant experience for Arab audiences. In addition to this it will also showcase international content from Nickelodeon's shows including Dora the Explorer, Spongebob Squarepants and Jimmy Neutron.
"Nickelodeon is the first global kids' media brand to create a free to air Arabic service across the region," said Bhavneet Singh, MD and executive VP of emerging markets at MTVNI. "Adding the voices of Arab children to our worldwide Nickelodeon family is a significant milestone in the brand's history and we're proud to launch a service that's created just for them, reflecting who they are and what they want."
The channel will be supported with a dedicated website available in both Arabic and English.
