Special exhibition running at The Cartoon Museum to celebrate milestone.
A dedicated exhibition is opening its doors on July 30th at The Cartoon Museum in London to celebrate the 70th birthday of The Beano comic.
Together with The Dandy - which was launched eight months earlier on December 4th 1937 - a number of iconic characters such as Desperate Dan, Dennis the Menace, The Bash Street Kids and Minnie the Minx will be included.
The exhibition will present original comic artwork from eight decades and will show how the comics and the characters have developed over time.
Nigel Parkinson, the artist who currently draws Dennis the Menace, will be present.
