KidsCo bolstered in Spain

Children's channel becomes part of pay TV platform Imagenio in the territory.
KidsCo - the children's channel jointly owned by NBC Universal, Cookie Jar and Corus Entertainment - is to become part of the Spanish pay TV platform Imagenio, following an agreement with local content provider, Teuve.
The new distribution agreement will see the channel available as part of the family package on channel 55.
"We are delighted that KidsCo has been selected to become part of Imagenio's offering," said Paul Robinson, MD of KidsCo. "As part of this leading platform, KidsCo will entertain Spanish families with world class children's entertainment including Sabrina, Sonic the Hedgehog, Inspector Gadget and Strawberry Shortcake."
KidsCo is now broadcasting in key territories around the world including Romania, Ukraine, the Middle East, Hungary, Russia, Turkey, Poland, Singapore, the Philippines, South Korea, Hong Kong and countries across sub-Saharan Africa.
It is anticipated that KidsCo will be airing in up to 40 territories, including Europe and Latin America, within the next 18 months.
