Back to the Future and Horrid Henry toy lines rolling out this summer.

Licensing agency CPLG is gearing up for a busy summer in the toy sector, with products based on Horrid Henry and classic film franchise Back to the Future launching.

From Universal's back catalogue, a Back to the Future Delorean RC Car from the film - designed by gift specialist Peter Black Footwear and Accessories - will be launched in the Argos autumn/winter 2008 catalogue on July 31st, with product available at the end of September.

The retro-themed adult collectible is aimed at the male gifting area.

Meanwhile, for the younger market Re:creation will be rolling out its Horrid Henry toy line from the end of this month.

Six of the products are featured in the latest Argos catalogue including collectible figures, a Voice Changer, a Triple Trouble Blaster water pistol and Splat Attack skill and action game.

Products including Mega Mischief and Wicked Tricks and Pranks joke and trick sets will also be available across retail from September.

"This is an exciting time for CPLG and the toy and gift categories as a whole," explained Peta Thomson, toys and gifts category manager at CPLG. "The resurgence in popularity of retro brands creates a unique opportunity for back catalogue titles such as Back to the Future to be coupled with fun and innovative product, such as remote control.

"While in the kids area, Horrid Henry is one of those rare brands with such immense popularity in the UK, that a unique opportunity has been created to lead the worldwide licensing programme with toys and gifts."
