Nick man to broaden content strategy

Firm creates new position of senior VP of global acquisitions and international programming.

MTV Networks International has promoted Jules Borkent to the newly created role of senior VP of global acquisitions and international programming at Nickelodeon.

In this new position, Borkent will lead global acquisition and programming strategies, adding acquisition responsibilities for Nickelodeon Networks in the US to his remit. He will work in close partnership with Nickelodeon in the US, and worldwide channels, across development, production and programme financing.

Borkent will create global programming strategies, integrating all network efforts worldwide, for Nickelodeon's key on-air brands such as tween success iCarly and leading franchises Spongebob Squarepants, Avatar and Dora the Explorer.

He will also oversee operations for Nickelodeon International and will be relocating to New York from London to report to both Steve Grieder, senior VP of Nickelodeon International and Pete Danielson, executive VP of programming for MTV Networks Kids & Family.

Borkent joined Nickelodeon Europe in 1998, most recently serving as VP of programming for Nickelodeon International.

Hi
I'm trying to connect with Pete Danielson regarding
kid friendly projects I've created for the possibility of Nickelodeon PSA's helping kids fight obesity and making healthier decisions in the school lunch room. I look forward to your reply or direction to someone in your ad creative dept. Thank you so much.
