Firm to create licensing programme around girls character property Princess Poppy.
Copyrights Group has extended its portfolio by launching a new girls' line to be based on the successful Princess Poppy books.
Written by Janey Louise Jones, the books were first published in March 2006 and tell the adventures of Poppy, an ordinary little girl who, as long as she's good, is also a special princess along with her friends and family in the village of Honeypot Hill.
Over 375,000 books have already been sold, with a total of 20 titles being published during 2007, plus a further 12 titles - both picture and story books - due in 2008.
The first phase of the licensing programme - which was officially launched at Brand Licensing Europe earlier this month - will include greetings, stationery, gifts, toy and games, apparel and confectionery.
