Cookie Jar plans to cut DIC jobs

Cookie Jar Entertainment will cut jobs at newly acquired DIC entertainment at the end of the month.
According to C21media.net, the firm’s CEO Michael Hirsh said an ‘integration’ plan is to be unveiled on 26th August, but gave no other details of the cuts.
It is thought that the majority of the cuts will come from DIC’s corporate office in Burbank where Cookie Jar has relocated its LA-based subsidiary. The restructuring is being planned to reduce duplication after Cookie Jar acquired DIC two months ago for $87.6m.
DIC founder Andy Heyward will remain at the firm under a new contract.
