New multi-platform entertainment company, Connect 2 Media is to roll out the Hellboy franchise on mobile, with the fantasy-based action game seeing the comic book hero fighting evil in New York City.

Published by Konami Digital Entertainment, Hellboy Mobile will be launched by Connect 2 on carriers in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Australia and New Zealand to coincide with the launch of the new PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PSP video game, Hellboy: The Science of Evil.

"Hellboy is a comic book hero with a wide appeal that is sure to grow with the anticipated popularity of the video game and movie launches this summer," said Greg Robinson, general manager of Connect 2 Media.

"Konami's mobile games are famous for ourstanding playability and we are excited to start off what will hopefully become a long-time collaboration with a key games publisher."

Florian Stronk, head of the mobile business department at Konami Digital Entertainment, added: "The comic book style graphics bring this all-new adventure to life."
