Firm restructures marketing, licensing and international TV distribution departments into one division.
Aardman has this morning revealed a new division which encompasses its marketing, licensing and international TV distribution departments - Aardman Rights.
The new arm has been set up to market and sell Aardman content across all media and it will seek to expand its IP portfolio by representing third party properties.
Sean Clarke has been appointed as head of Aardman Rights, reporting directly to Miles Bullough, Aardman's head of broadcast. Clarke was previously the head of the marketing and licensing teams at the company.
Clarke's new department will consist of two teams - marketing and sales. Jennifer Burgos will take on the role of head of marketing - she previously worked at Turner Broadcasting where she was director of sponsorship and licensed promotions.
Meanwhile, within the sales team Alix Wiseman will continue as head of sales for TV, DVD and new media, while the licensing team has been strengthened with the addition of Rob Goodchild, who will work alongside Helen Neno as licensing manager. Goodchild joins later this month and has an extensive background in the worlds of video games and toys, having worled with Smoby Majorette and Radica Games (Europe).
"We wanted to create a more efficient and focused sales and marketing division to drive forward the exploitation our own properties, as well as third party rights across multiple platforms," commented Bullough.
The new-look team will be at Mipcom next month in Cannes on stand 04.23.
