Ambitious firm will now represent Flight of the Conchords, The Sopranos and Entourage.

The joint MDs of Rocket Licensing, Rob Wijeratna and Charlie Donaldson, continue to grow the firm's portfolio, this morning revealing a new deal with TV programming network HBO which covers both classic and new television series.

While the deal excludes Sex and the City, Rocket will be working with Flight of the Conchords. Originally a six-part BBC Radio 2 comedy series, the show moved to HBO in summer 2007 and debuted on BBC Four last autumn.

The show follows the adventures of two transplanted New Zealanders, Bret and Jemaine, who have moved to New York where they split their time between seeking venues where they can perform and awkwardly courting women they meet.

Rocket has already signed key deals with Bravado International for t-shirts, GB Eye for posters and badges and Danilo for calendars.

Also included in the deal is multiple award winning drama The Sopranos, plus comedy series Entourage, which follows the life of Vince Chase, a hot young actor experiencing life in the Hollywood fast lane.

"HBO has a fantastic range of innovative, high quality and compelling properties that always set new benchmarks for the very best television," said Rob Wijeratna, joint MD at Rocket. "We are delighted to be working with them and are looking to licence an exciting range of products that reflect the brand values of these amazing properties.

"We have already made a great start signing up key deals for Flight of the Conchords."
