New 'thumb' book on the way to back popular brand.

Random House has become the latest licensee to join the programme for kids' TV short Thumb Wrestling Federation: TWF.

The firm joins Danilo (greeting cards), Panini (sticker books), Sambro (toys) and Roy Lowe & Sons (socks, gloves, hats and scarves) in the licensee list. It will be publishing a 'thumb' book, which will be 96 pages and an A5 format. It will feature the lowdown on all the characters and lets budding thumb wrestlers to make their own championship belts and wrestling rings.

"Thumb Wrestling Federation has already reached millions of viewers and its popularity is going from strength to strength," said Mary Vacher from Random House.

Rob Corney, MD of Bulldog Licensing - which is handling the licensing programme - added: "I am delighted to have such a prestigious name as Random House on board. The amazing popularity of TWF means that it is attracting fantastic partners."

TWF features 56 original characters which fight for two teams - the Mighty Dexteras and the Sinistras - in a classic good versus evil showdown. The short format segments include wrestler bios, character gags and three and a half minutes of thumb wrestling action.
