US: Nelvana riding high at Dallas Toy Fair

Toy partner signed for Grossology; more Max & Ruby episodes greenlit.
Nelvana Enterprises is making the most of its presence at the American International Toy Fair in Dallas, revealing two key new deals.
First up, and Planet Toys has signed on as the North American toy partner for Grossology (pictured), Nelvana's animated series for six to 11 year olds which airs on Discovery Kids in the US and YTV in Canada.
Planet Toys will now manufacture science kits and distribute the Anjar line of role play items and action figures based on the comedy series.
In addition, a further 12 episodes of Max & Ruby - the pre-school show about bunny siblings - have been given the go ahead.
Licensees onboard for the property include Jakks Pacific/Play Along (master toy); Ty (beanies); JV Apparel (apparel and sleepwear); SG Footwear (US footwear); The Canadian Group (games and puzzles); and Penguin Young Readers Group (books).
Max & Ruby will also be featured in a musical stage show tour in the US, which is produced by Theatreworks USA.
