TV-Loonland licences animated property to ITV1 and CITV.

TV-Loonland has licensed its multi-format animated property Pat & Stan to British children's channel CITV.

Selected shorts have also been licensed to ITV1.

CITV has acquired UK broadcast and online rights for the whole available set of formats: 350 shorts, a half hour Treasure Hunt special, as well as the brand new 39x7-minute series due for delivery in spring 2009.

The short formats will be premiering on CITV's website shortly in the lead up to the TV launch, which is scheduled for this Christmas.

Already sold into more than 80 territories, CGI-animated Pat & Stan is a co-production between French animation producer MacGuff, TF1 in France and TV-Loonland.

"I am thrilled to welcome Pat and Stan to the CITV channel," said Emma Tennant, controller of CITV. "Already a hit on YouTube and a host of other countries, I am sure this delightfully funny and highly infectious double act has all the ingredients needed to become a landmark series on CITV."
