Cartoon Network working with newly signed agency CTM in territory; RTL2 signed up for broadcast.
With boys' property Ben 10 continuing to be a commercial success story in the UK, Cartoon Network is now looking to emulate this in other territories.
In Germany, Cartoon Network is working closely with newly signed agency CTM (Concept TV & Merchandising GmbH) to cover all licensing categories and roll out a full programme across the region. The firms has already secured ten new partners in the last few weeks.
In addition, it has been confirmed that Ben 10 will air on free-to-air broadcaster RTL2 from January 2009. The series' next generation episodes, Ben 10: Alien Force, will premiere on Cartoon Network and existing Germany broadcast cable partner Kabel 1 later in 2009.
"We are exceptionally pleased with the continued success of Ben 10 both on-air and at retail," said Alan Fenwick, VP for Cartoon Network Enterprises, Europe, Middle East and Africa. "The Ben 10 range of products is performing strongly in all markets and we are delighted with the support from CTM in making Ben 10 a success in Germany."
