New animation I Got A Rocket picked up by Disney Channel in the UK, Scandinavia and emerging markets.
Taffy Entertainment has sold its new Emmy award winning animated show, I Got A Rocket, to the Disney Channel in the UK, Scandinavia and emerging markets.
The 52x11-minute comedy series is scheduled for an early 2009 debut.
I Got A Rocket is based on the popular Australian children's book of the same name. It follows the adventures of 12 year-old Vinnie Q, who receives an outer space rocket from his dad for his birthday.
The show is currently available in the US on Kabillion, Network 10 and Nickelodeon in Australia, Gulli in France and Germany's KI.KA among others.
"Disney Channel is well known for its great programming, which is why they have some of the most popular shows in the world," said Lionel Marty, president of worldwide sales at Taffy. "It's a testament to the hard work of our production team that a high calibre broadcaster like Disney Channel has snapped up the show this quickly."
