Former Woolworths childrenswear brand still being marketed by administrators.
The administrator of Woolworths, Deloitte is still marketing the Ladybird childrenswear brand and talking to interested parties, a spokesperson has confirmed to Licensing.biz.
Woolworths' other in-store brand - toy offering Chad Valley - was sold earlier this week to Argos (click here for full story) for around £5 million.
Ladybird is one of the biggest selling childrenswear brands in the UK. Woolworths signed a licensing agreement to stock the brand exclusively in 1984, eventually purchasing it outright in 2000. In 2002, the brand launched a major licensing programme to give it a global presence, opening over 160 stores and concessions worldwide in territories including Ireland, Dubai, Saudi Arabia and Malaysia.
