Burgeoning division has a new head of licensing following portfolio expansion.

After a period of rapid growth for the firm, Target Entertainment has promoted the popular Shelley Kerridge to the position of head of licensing.

The move follows Target's recent signing of the global licensing rights to the $70m blockbuster The Nutcracker.

In addition, Lisa Simpson has also been promoted from within the company to the role of licensing assistant.

As well as working on The Nutcracker, Kerridge and Simpson will work across Target's other brands which include Fifi and the Flowertots from Chapman, new boys' action show Storm Hawks from Nerd Corp and Harry and His Bucket Full of Dinosaurs from CCI amongst others.

As head of licensing, Kerridge will oversee toys, publishing, apparel and footwear, while she will also work on third party promotions alongside Richard Oren in Target's US office.

BULLDOG

Territory wise, Kerridge will be managing France, Germany, Benelux, Scandinavia, Asia and Australasia.

Meanwhile, Simpson will be responsible for greeting cards, posters, calendars, food and beverages and health and beauty. She will also look after trade events and offer marketing support.

Helen Howells, Target's director of international licensing, said: "Both these promotions are richly deserved. Shelley has made a huge impact since joining Target nearly two years ago; she has excelled in her role and is the right person to help grow the burgeoning licensing division."
