Coolabi triumphs at Light Fund quiz

Trade flocks to Shillibeers in Islington for annual licensing industry event to raise money for official charity.

All areas of the licensing community were represented last night at the annual Light Fund Quiz - with Coolabi eventually running out the winner in a closely fought battle of minds.

The quiz - held every year in aid of The Light Fund, which is the industry's official charity - took place at Shillibeers pub in Islington, North London.

Coolabi's Rampant Ronnies team were crowned champions after ten rounds, although the Hit Entertainment B team and The Marmite Soldiers from Copyrights were joint second, just one point behind.

Chorion's Mr & Little Miss Scatterbrains, Bloody Marvellous Products made up of Zap/Aykroyds/Roy Lowe and DRI also performed well.

However, down the other end of the table, TDP Textiles came last, with Phil King collecting the team's prize of a pair of Big Pants.

"The Light Fund is a fantastic charity and the committee always puts in a huge amount of time and energy to make the events a great success," said Janet Woodward, head of licensing at Coolabi. "The Light Fund Winner's Award will always have pride of place in our trophy cabinet."
