Rugby League team signs record sponsorship deal with Australian apparel manufacturer.
The Leeds Rhinos team has inked the biggest sponsorship deal of its kind in rugby league, according to Sportsbusiness.com.
The club has signed a record five-year deal with Australian apparel manufacturer ISC. This will include sponsorship of the Leeds Rugby Foundation and the Rhinos Scholarship programme.
ISC’s current list of club kit sponsorships include Australia’s Sydney Roosters, South Sydney Rabbitohs, Penrith Panthers, Canberra Raiders, Parramatta Eels and Newcastle Knights.
It also boosts all four Australian Super 14 clubs in rugby union, plus the Guinness Premiership’s Leeds Carnegie.
“I have been chasing this deal for five years,” said Darren Moore, ISC UK director. “Leeds Rhinos have proved both on and off the field, as well as on the terraces, they are the club that others aspire to.”
